X Always keep a safety pin in your sewing box – it’s the perfect tool for feeding ribbon or elastic through a fabric tube.
X Use a universal needle or a size 90 quilting needle in your sewing machine for these projects.

◆ Six Penny Memories: Country Meadow fat quarter set; Vlieseline H640 fusible fleece fat quarter; Prym Love turning set; Prym Love vario pliers ◆ Safety pin
1Cut two 9” x 20” pieces from a Country Meadow fat quarter and one 9” x 20” piece from fusible fleece. Iron the fusible fleece to the reverse of one piece of fabric.
Place the two pieces of fabric right
sides together and sew around all of the sides, leaving a 3” gap for 3turning. Turn through and press.
When sewing with fusible fleece, increase the stitch length to three.

Fold one side up 7” to create the
pocket, and pin into place. Top stitch around all four sides. Using the pliers, insert a snap on the pocket and the flap.

1Download the template, trace onto freezer paper and cut out. Cut a fat quarter of Country Meadow fabric into two pieces and fold each one right sides together. Place the template on the fold of the fabric, iron in place and cut out. Repeat
with the second piece of fabric.
2Along the straight edge, turn the fabric up by 0.25” and press. Turn under 0.5” and press. Stitch along the edge of the hem. Repeat with the second piece to make the 3ribbon casing.
Place the pieces right sides
together and stitch around
the curved edge. To prevent fraying, use the pinking scissors to trim the fabric. Turn through and press. Insert the safety pin into the edge of the ribbon and feed it through the ribbon casing. Tie the ends of the ribbon together.
