SPEAK UP! SILENT NO MORE!
THEN THEY CAME FOR ME - AND THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT TO SPEAK FOR ME.
We, the Muslims, have failed miserable to accomplish the objective of articulating the real message and essence of Milad-un-Nabi or Karbala
the to the humanity at large.
Wasn’t Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) the messenger and the role model the entire humanity and mercy to mankind? Wasn’t the message of Imam Husain, the grandson of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to Yazid “that I stand against you only to reform the community (Ummah) of my grandfather?”
Wasn’t Zainab binte Ali (sa) who eloquently gave the sermon in Yazid’s court yard by saying “O! Yazid, your actions come as no surprise from a person who ancestor chewed
the liver of such saintly martyrs, O! Yazid, you can never
reach the level of our lofty position, nor can you destroy our remembrance or eradicate our message, path and memory. You should know that our memory will never die nor will you be able to vanish the commemoration of my brother Husain (as)”.
With the election of Donald Trump as our 45th President we, the Muslims, will have di cult time and it is imperative that as Muslims, we exhibit not just the zeal and zest, but integrity and maturity in our words as well as in our deeds.
Year after year we celebrate and commemorate the great personalities of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlulbayt (People of the House) of the Prophet (pbuh)
with deep love and reverence, however, we lack the understanding the purpose of their mission. Most Muslims, including myself have not been able to see beyond their emotional attachment to the Prophet (pbuh) and Ahlul Bayt (People of the House) of the Prophet (pbuh) to appreciate the larger signi cance of the humanity. This must now change.
Unfortunately nothing will change for Muslims unless
we, the Muslim Ummah get politically engaged and disassociate ourselves from the doctrine of the wahhabis/ sala st.

Allah (swt) will not change their condition until they change themselves for the better and ght the tyrannical rulers in the Muslim world.
One billion two hundred million billion Muslims in the world today are humiliated and oppressed. The darkness that prevailed in Arabia at the time of the Prophet (pbuh) has once again engulfed the world, on a much greater scale. If we really want to emerge from the humiliation and oppression, then the only option available to us is to engage in the political process and Speak Up! Silent No More!
The terror unleashed by the Makkan aristocracy is no di erent from Donald Trump’s White House. Muslims will experience discrimination, will be ridiculed, persecuted, tortured, prisoned and deported. It is ironic that while
the Makkan aristocracy clearly understood the Prophet’s message and viewed it as a direct threat and challenge
to their way of life, so does Donald Trump, However, the
vast majority of Muslims today have failed to grasp its real message and Muslims continue to lead a jahili existence even while openly professing the faith of Islam.
Many Muslims still believe that one should not engage in politics and question how the Prophet (pbuh), who brought Allah’s nal message to mankind, could be involved in politics. This re ects Muslims’ lack of understanding of both politics and Prophetic history. Islam encompasses all aspect of life and political engagement was an essential part of
the Prophet’s and the Ahlul Bayt message which cannot be separated.
The Prophet (pbuh) transformed the whole of the Arabian Peninsula in a relatively short period of twenty three years and defeated the superpowers of the time. The question is what methods and processes did he employ to bring about such profound changes.
These are the questions we need to address by studying the Seerah and Sunnah (life-example); however, rst we need
to understand the nature of the environment in society
at Prophet’s time and today. Injustice, oppression, and
