A Culture of Honor & Integrity

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
                                                     2 Corinthians 3:17

When a Culture of Honor & Integrity are in place in an organization, every person is free to be as God
has created them and allowed to be exactly where He has them on the journey with Him. There is
an understanding that they are free to live and grow and change as God leads them.

                                                    Definitions of Honor
Noun - High respect, esteem; privilege
Verb – regard with great respect; fulfill or keep an obligation or an agreement

                                                    Definition of Integrity
Noun – the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness
The state of being whole and undivided; unity, cohesion, togetherness, solidarity
Internal consistency or lack of corruption

A person who welcomes and exhibits Honor and Integrity thinks and communicates (with or without
words) the following to every other person he comes in contact:

                   ● You are valuable and I will show you honor and respect because God created you, and you
bear His image whether you recognize Him or not

                   ● Because I value my relationship with God and with you, I will show you respect and honor
over myself in times of peace and in times of conflict (preserving these relationships is
more important to me than being right)

                   ● Truth is so important to God, that He came in the person of Jesus Christ to bring truth to
us therefore, I will speak truth wrapped in love to you

                   ● I have boundaries in place to guard my thoughts, my speech, my hearing, what I look at,
and my actions so I will be able to honor you and myself – boundaries allow me to keep
                     good in and bad out

A person with Honor and Integrity walks in the following way:

                    ● When I am angry about something, I figure out what my problem is, I do not take it out on
                      others.

                    ● If I am having trouble and cannot figure it out for myself, I ask a parent, trusted adult,
teacher, or friend to help me identify my problem and work it out in a God-honoring way
