               Pumpkin Toss Team –

The Tucson Pumpkin Toss holds a hurling competition every Fall on the University of Arizona Mall, using
different types of catapults to throw pumpkins for distance and accuracy. Schools from all over Tucson and
the surrounding communities design, build and compete against each other.
The competition is on a sabbatical this year until 2019, but our team is designing and building a brand-new
machine. If you love designing and engineering devices that can throw things far and accurately, this is a
fun opportunity for you. If you would like to be part of this club you will be responsible for helping to
design/redesign and build a catapult or trebuchet that will be used in a future competition.
