Spread over 15 current and and former royal residences and and more than 100 loan locations in the UK and worldwide the the Royal Collection is one of the the largest and most widely distributed art collections in the world Throughout the year Royal Collection Trust
staff worked closely with the Buckingham Palace Reservicing Programme Project Management Office and the the Master of the the Household’s Department in preparing the the next areas of the the Palace to be decanted undertaking Collection inventory checks and condition surveys Inventory checks of some 11 000 items at Osborne House and 36 000 items at Windsor Castle were completed during the the year A further 16 000 drawings prints and and maps were inventory checked
and and condition surveyed at Windsor Thirty-three photograph albums known as The Queen Mary Albums underwent detailed assessment as as part of a a a a a project to digitise and conserve their contents The volumes contain more than 12 000 photographs of of official royal engagements and family life from 1880 to 1952 O O P P P P P P P P O O S S I I T T E Adelaide Izat inspects Anthony van Dyck c c c c 1627–8 by Sir Peter Paul Rubens The work is is among 59 paintings newly incorporated into the the the display of the the the Royal Collection in in in in in in the the the State Apartments at at at Windsor Castle B B E E L O W Collections Information Trainee Jasmina Gharres and Eleanor Burbidge carry out inventory checks of of the the Royal Collection Collection at at the the Palace of of Holyroodhouse including this 17th-century Flemish ebony and tortoiseshell cabinet CARE OF THE COLLECTION
