WELCOME
I am delighted to introduce Royal Collection Trust’s latest programme of group visits and private tours.
Your booking makes an important contribution to the work of The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity established in 1993 under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness
The Prince of Wales. The Trust depends entirely on income from ticket and retail sales to fund its work in conservation, research, education, publishing and exhibitions, enabling the maximum possible enjoyment of the Royal Collection. Thanks to that income, we embarked on a series of major projects to improve visitor facilities at Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Known collectively as Future Programme, they are now all due for completion in 2020. You can keep in touch and learn more about Royal Collection Trust at www.rct.uk.

     FUTURE PROGRAMME
We’ve been busy transforming the experience of visiting Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
In 2019, visitors saw the first of many improvements, and the remaining works will be completed in the coming year.
At the Palace of Holyroodhouse:
· A new ticketing and welcome area has opened and visitor facilities have been improved.
· New multimedia tours and renewed displays of works from the Royal Collection tell the story of the Palace’s most famous inhabitants.
· The Palace Forecourt and a new garden, inspired by the earliest recorded gardens at the Palace, will open to the public.
At Windsor Castle:
· The Admissions Centre is being enlarged and reconfigured, providing more efficient entry to the Castle.
· The medieval Undercroft will be transformed into the Castle’s first permanent café.
· Visitor facilities and step-free access are being improved throughout the Castle.
· New multimedia tours now offer a choice of routes through the State Apartments.
· George IV’s entrance hall and the State Entrance, where The Queen’s guests arrive, have been opened up to visitors.
· A new introductory space explores the Castle’s 1,000-year history.
