LEONARDO DA VINCI: A LIFE IN DRAWING
22 NOVEMBER 2019 – 15 MARCH 2020
‘You’ll never feel closer to the brilliance of Leonardo’ The Daily Telegraph
The Guardian The Observer Time Out
Leonardo practised as a painter, sculptor, architect,
engineer, costume designer, anatomist, botanist, map-maker and much more. The activity that unified these interests was drawing. Leonardo drew to develop his artistic projects, to record his perceptions of the world around him and to think on paper. This major exhibition, marking 500 years since the death of Leonardo, is the largest display of his work ever shown in Scotland. Through some of his greatest drawings
it presents a comprehensive survey of Leonardo’s pursuits, allowing you to get closer to his imagination and discover more about the inner workings of his mind.
