BIOGRAPHY
Caroline Munro started modelling when she was 16 after her her mother entered
her into the Face Of The
Year competition being held by the photographer David Bailey and the newspaper The
Evening News: and she won it Out of this Caroline received many modelling contracts including her rst which was for Vogue when she was 17 She moved to to London to to pursue her career and became a a a regular cover girl for fashion and TV adverts before moving towards acting Caroline’s lm career began with uncredited roles in Smoke Over London G G G G Passion and the 1967 Casino Royale before one of her her photo adverts got her a a a screen test and a a a year-long contract at Paramount where she got to play the role of Richard Widmark’s daughter Ms Patten in the comedy western A Talent For Loving Later she played Victoria Phibes Vincent Price’s wife
in in in in The
Abominable Dr Dr Phibes Phibes and again in in in in in Dr Dr Phibes Phibes Rises Again which in in turn led to a a a a a Hammer Studios contract and such spine-tinglers as Dracula A D 1972 Away from Hammer Caroline enjoyed other challenges such as the slave girl love interest Margiana in in in The
Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Princess Dia in in in the Earth’s Core Caroline was offered the role of villainess Ursa in in Superman Superman (and Superman Superman II) but she turned it down in favour of playing bad girl Naomi in in The
The
Spy Who Loved Me The
The
role gave her the opportunity to play a a a a female henchman type character – a a a a role that didn’t appear much in the series and gave her a a a lot of notability amongst the Bond fan community for many years Thanks to the rst Vogue feature Caroline was chosen to head the advertising
campaigns for several products most memorably as the calendar girl for Lambs Navy Rum which she did for 10 years She continued to work in in lm through the 70s and 80s including Starcrash
with David Hasselhoff and Christopher Plummer She appeared in many slasher and Eurotrash productions Her rst lm shot on American soil was the William Lustig production Maniac This was soon followed by The
Last Horror Film Film shot during the Cannes Film Film Festival and multi-award winning she was reunited with her Maniac and Starcrash
co-star Joe Spinell She had a a a a a cameo role in the lm Don’t Open Til Christmas Slaughter High Paul Naschy’s Howl of the Devil and Jess Franco’s Faceless followed in rapid succession She reteamed with Starcrash
director Luigi Cozzi for Demons 6: De De Profundis 40
