Current Operations
Our current operations include two world-class racecourses in Happy Valley and Sha Tin, Jockey Club Headquarters, Sha Tin Central Complex, three Public Riding Schools, over 100 Retail Branches, three Telebet Centres, residential buildings, and the Sha Tin Communication and Technology Centre (SCTC).
RACECOURSE
Happy Valley Racecourse (HVRC)
HVRC was  rst built in 1845 and redeveloped in 1995. It is one of the two racecourses in Hong Kong and covers a  oor area of over 137,000 square metres with an accommodation capacity of 55,000 spectators. Attracting an average of 17,700 visitors per racing event, HVRC has eight restaurants, a betting hall, and a racing museum.
Sha Tin Racecourse (STRC)
STRC was built in 1978 and covers a site area of about 730,000 square metres with a  oor area of about 390,000 square metres. A landmark of Sha Tin, STRC hosts an average of 29,300 visitors per racing event.
CORPORATE
Jockey Club Headquarters (JCHQ)
Since its inauguration in 1996, the
JCHQ, with a  oor area of 40,000 square metres, houses most of the Club’s major operations. JCHQ’s curtain wall glass façade maximises daylight entering the workspace. Recently, we undertook an o ce restacking project at our Headquarters to further enhance the workplace.
Sha Tin Communication and Technology Centre (SCTC)
SCTC covers a  oor area of over 50,000
square metres and consolidates a number of the Club’s key operations such as the main Telebet Centre, Broadcasting studios and Production o ces, IT Department O ces and The Hong Kong Jockey Club College for sta  training. The building achieved the LEED Gold and BEAM Plus Gold ratings.
