Green Procurement
OSH Questionnaire
Our diverse operations are dependent on an extensive array of suppliers. Within our sphere of in uence, we seek to instil an awareness of safety and health by requiring prospective suppliers to complete an Occupational Safety and Health questionnaire as part of the tender process. The questionnaire evaluates OSH management systems for:
• OSH policy and management;
• Safe work practices and procedures; • OSH training provided to employees; • Safety and health consultation; and • OSH performance monitoring.
This allows us to assess the safety performance of potential suppliers, which is an essential component of the service provider review process.
The Property Department is committed to green procurement. This approach includes environmental considerations along with price and performance into purchase decisions. Property is increasingly turning to e-tenders to avoid the unnecessary use of paper. In addition, products with environmentally friendly features such as those that are bio-degradable, energy e cient, recyclable, and durable are favored. Suppliers with a proven environmental track record, or those who meet the requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System are given preference in the procurement process. Property will continue to collaborate with the Club Sustainability Committee and Supply Chain to implement a greater number of sustainability related clauses in future procurements.
