MAKING IT TO THE END OF THE MONTH
Throughout the following chapters, we will consider the immense problem I have described. We will examine why we are unable to control our desire for money, and we’ll also discover how to turn the situation around and obtain real peace on this subject.
Before we get going, find a quiet spot, make a cup of tea or coffee, relax, and reflect upon the following:
1. How do you make it to the end of the month?
2. What is your belief system on this critical subject of money?
3. How do you make decisions about buying things?
4. How often do you think about money?
5. Is ‘How can I get more?’ the only thing you think about?
6. Does money control you or do you control it?
Have you come to the realisation and conclusion that money, and riches associated with money, only have the power that we assign to it? In the majority of our lives, it has become a high power. In fact, we have awarded it total dominance. Having elevated to this level, it has immense power over us, as we saw from the short story by Leo Tolstoy.
