Becoming all things to all people to save some

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 9:22, “I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some” (ESV). The Re- search and Development (R&D) team understands that methods of communication and market- ing are constantly changing. It’s this team’s responsibility to re- main aware of these shifts and support the Georgia Baptist Mis- sion Board, as well as Georgia Baptists, in their messaging and communication needs so that “by all means” more people might hear the gospel.
R&D works with each of the GBMB ministries to produce rel- evant resources such as booklets, downloadable products, training videos, event promotion, web- sites, emails and more – all with
the intent of helping the GBMB staff strengthen churches and support pastors across Georgia.
This team also supports the major events of the GBMB. The Spark Conference, which is one of the largest virtual training con- ferences for churches in Georgia, was a collaboration between R&D and the Discipleship team to offer a great experience for registrants. The Georgia Baptist Convention Annual Meeting, Evangelism Conference, Next Gen events, as well as most regional events, include components that have passed through the hands of the R&D team.
Each of the GBMB’s materials are created using research on the latest trends within the Georgia Baptist Convention and in our culture as a whole. R&D also pro- vides this research to our Georgia Baptist churches, and it includes general statistics to allow them to

be as effective as possible in their ministry efforts.
While R&D does support the GBMB internally, it is the goal of the ministry to also work direct- ly with churches and ministry leaders. This team is composed of individuals who understand web- sites, apps, social media, email and communication best practic- es that many churches don’t have the time or resources to tackle. It is the desire of the R&D team to come alongside ministry leaders to help teach those best practic- es and apply them in a way that works in their church’s context.
Research and Development also spearheads the promotion and development of Cooperative Program communications. This promotion is crucial because gifts to the Cooperative Program en- able us to partner together to ful- fill the Great Commission.
Goal of Georgia Baptist Women is a unified vision

Georgia Baptist churches ar- en’t cookie-cutter. The Geor- gia Baptist Convention is made up of large, medium and small churches. There are churches in urban and rural settings, brand- new church plants, established churches and so on.
In the same way churches are unique, ministry to and for wom- en is unique. Some churches have women’s ministry, some church- es have Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU), and some have both. There are even churches in Georgia that are just getting started with women’s ministry. Georgia Baptist Women serves to encourage and equip female leaders in all Georgia Baptist churches, no matter how they are structured or organized.
The foremost goal of Geor- gia Baptist Women is to ensure a unified vision for women. We want to see Georgia Baptist wom- en in God’s Word, growing in unity, confident in sharing their faith, intimate with God through prayer and living on mission for Him each day.

tive. Fresh ideas and leadership training can help make that hap- pen. Sometimes leaders aren’t sure how to get more women in- volved, convey an inspiring mes- sage or involve young women. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. The Georgia Baptist Women team understands that frustration and believes leaders of women should be equipped to lead well. Connect your women’s ministry and missions leaders with the team to discover a plan to lead effectively and with con- fidence.
