Our Programs
Teen Wellness Cafes
During the 2019/20 school year, Wellness Cafes served 397 students in 12 schools in Napa County. Over the past 2 years Teens Connect has engaged over 1,000 youth in Wellness Cafes.
At the beginning of each school semester, Teens Connect holds peer-led discussion groups that opens conversations about students’ mental health challenges and teaches tools for self-care. These life changing groups create a safe and open environment for teens to communicate what they need to feel supported. In addition, they receive connections to resources for additional care. Many of the teens who have participated in Wellness Cafes have gained the self-confidence to help others and be catalysts for change in their schools.

Resilience for Youth
During the 2019/20 school year, Resilience for Youth served 483 7th grade students in 3 middle schools. Resilience for Youth helps increase student’s motivation through teaching how to access the skills of resilience. Using a unique multi-sensory approach, this program stimulates learning opportunities through journal writing, music, videos and more. Research indicates the earlier a student is able to gain the vital skills of resilience, the better equip they will be to thrive in school, at home and in post-secondary life.
