Directions:
Follow the ALL Independent Group Work protocol to allocate a facilitator and timekeeper.
Day 2
Text Share:
1. Timekeeper: Set a 2-minute timer.
2. Facilitator: You will go r :
a. Show the group your text.
b. Tell your group what your text is about. (“My text is about ____.”)
c. Tell your group your opinion of the text. Explain why you have that opinion. (“I like/don’t like my text because _____.”)
Group: As the facilitator shares, consider what else you would like to know about his or her text. Prepare a que ion about it.
3. Timekeeper: Set a 2-minute timer.
4. Group: When the facilitator has nished sharing, take turns asking him or her que ions.
5. Repeat with each person in the group.
Day 3
Directions:
Work with your partner to answer the vocabulary que ions below. For these que ions you will underline the de nition that be matches the meaning of the word as it is used in the ALL Independent Group Work protocol.
