Getting Started with the Additional Language and Literacy Block Materials
Welcome to EL Education’s curriculum. This is your guide to get arted with the materials for the Additional Language and Literacy Block (ALL Block).
As you dive into the teacher materials, these icons will guide your attention to major supports and features of the ALL Block.
Each component of the ALL Block has a corresponding icon, to show you quickly which materials belong with the component you’re working on that day.

These two icons will tell you if a task card is used in work led by the teacher in their group or in independent student groups.
These four icons are used for grouping students to facilitate the small-group rotations during your ALL Block instructional time. Students can be grouped exibly for each of the rotations in response to their strengths and their areas of need in the components you’re working on that week.
