We’ve spoken to hundreds of adults 65+ to understand what they really want from their healthcare and aging experience. What we learned from them — and from the first-hand experiences of our care team — inspires us to design Patina.
“Every time I met my doctor, he had to get to know me all over again.”
Do your appointments feel rushed? Many of the people we talked to said their doctors are too “busy,” so interactions feel brief and more transactional than personal.

Do you have a real primary care relationship? People questioned whether their doctors were really listening or focused on the information on their computer screens.

Is your care team available when you need them? Many said it was a challenge to schedule appointments or
get even simple questions answered. Some were even directed to an urgent care clinic or ER for basic needs.
