“WHAT WAS THAT?” John exclaimed. “I HAVE SEEN WEIRD CREATURES, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT!”
They started to walk away from the beach and into the jungle to try and see if they could find some shelter.
“This should do,” said Crawsford gasping for air.
Night fell, and they had not yet had a meal. They were weak, tired, and hungry. Mino had set up a trap for a small animal so that they could check on it in the morning. Sarah was praying for her life because she was scared. Suddenly she felt heat coming down on her. She looked back, and John and Mino were not there anymore. She saw trees in the distance moving. She felt an electricity ripple through her body. It froze her. She tried to move, but she couldn't. She was overcome with fear. She saw the beast getting closer by the second when she snapped and ran to the shore, jumped in, and started swimming. Sarah was not thinking clearly and did not know where she was going.
After a while, Sarah was pretty far from the island and decided to swim back when, all of a sudden, she felt a tug on her leg, so she started flopping around in the water in a frenzy. Next thing she knew, she was surrounded by fins. She was dragged down with a fight and was on the verge of death when...
“BEEEEEEP...BEEEEEEP......BEEEEEEP” Suddenly she woke up, looked at the clock, and jumped out of bed.
“It’s 9:00! I’m going to be late for the airport! I just had the weirdest dream,” she thought.
She rushed to take a shower and change. When she arrived at the airport she got on the plane, sat down, and then had to go to the bathroom. She got up from her seat and accidently bumped into someone.
“Sorry,” exclaimed Sarah.
“Oh no, you’re alright. I’m John Crawsford. Nice to meet you.”
Sarah felt weird - like she had heard that name before. Thinking it was just in her mind, she
carried on, and went back to her seat. There, her children were talking to the lady next to them. She interrupted the conversation and introduced herself.
“Hi, I’m Sarah and these are my kids.”
“Oh, hey. You have lovely kids. Nice to meet you, I’m Mino Davis.”
At this point, Sarah felt a strange yet clear connection to John Crawsford and Mino Davis. She
ignored it again feeling as if it was just in her mind. The plane took off, and Sarah took a nap. Suddenly she woke up, sat up straight, saw a red alarm, and heard the familiar,
“BEEEEEEP ...BEEEEEEP ......BEEEEEEP .”

The sky was a brighter color orange than the tangerines you buy from Publix blended with a hint of purple that sparkled like an eyeshadow. Driving across the bridges home to St. Pete Beach always brought comfort to Noor, especially on a summer night like tonight. The long day volunteering at the Dali Museum as a tour-guide with her friend Kat was well worth the early start. The smooth ride in the driverless Uber made Noor fall into a peaceful slumber as they rounded the corner into the street where Noor lived. The electric jolt to her arm and the scream from Kat shocked Noor awake.
“Noor! Wake up! There are like a million cop cars around your house.”
