Wishes Really Do Come True

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E chanted the loud speakers throughout the park. I looked down at my sister and relished at the happiness on her face. It was a huge deal to bring her to Disney World, not just because it was a magical place, but because of her severe illness. I pushed Linda over to the pin station and grabbed the pin that read “It’s My First Time at Disney World!” I poked the thin needle through her colorful shirt making sure not to pinch her, and then wiped the sweat off of my forehead.
“What a hot day it is,” I said to my father as he slightly nodded his head in fear.
We walked to the castle where
the fireworks shot out like a bullet from
a gun. My sister’s jaw dropped in awe
and her smile was the most amazing
sight in the park. Once the show ended
and Mickey Mouse exited the stage, I
pushed her over to It’s a Small World
ride. We waited at the handicap line for
about fifteen minutes until it was our
turn to ride the boat. Linda was acting a
little off, but I told myself that I was overthinking things and that she was just having an amazing time. We then were told by the man to enter row five and to wait until the boat arrived. I carried my sister, and when the boat arrived, I gently placed her on my lap, and we waited for the boat to start. Linda’s head rapidly dropped down on my shoulder, and her eyes were gently closing. My heart began to race rapidly. I screamed, “Stop the ride!” “Stop the ride!” Linda was reacting to the heat and her dog was gone!
“I could have sworn she had it on the ride,” I said to myself.
I waited anxiously for the ride to stop. This day would haunt me for life. Once the ride came to an end, I jumped up and immediately started sprinting out of the boat carrying my sister who appeared dead. Once we exited the tent where the ride was, I caught a slight glimpse of my mom and dad and ran directly towards them handing my sister to them. The secret that only I knew confirmed why my sister appeared this way, and I knew that I had to get that dog back.
I ran back to the first place that we went to, which was the castle. Shoving and pushing everyone out of my way, I finally arrived at the stage. I got distracted by Mickey and Donald fighting Maleficent and quickly shook my head and went back to what I was doing. I looked through the bushes, all around the floor, and through all of the railings, but the dog was nowhere to be seen. I then ran back over to the It’s a Small World ride and looked everywhere around the attraction. I peeked over at my sister and saw her head weightless, immediately falling down every time my dad would try to pick it up. My heart started racing rapidly, and my breath was increasing by the minute. My sister could not die on me.
Then an idea popped into my head like a kernel that was heated into popcorn. Maybe, while we were getting onto the ride, Linda dropped the dog while I was carrying her onto the boat, and it landed in
