 Post-Traumatic Stress and Anxiety Affect the Daily Lives of People in Southern Israel
They report similar symptoms: extreme anxiety, compulsive and fearful consumption of news reports during an escalation, a sense of isolation, and mood swings.
Residents of the area appear healthy. They hold down jobs but pay a high price for living from one escalation to the next. They struggle with daily tasks, and many take anxiety pills, medical marijuana, and/or tranquilizers to function in the shadow of post-traumatic stress disorder.
Is There a Viable Solution?
