         ORGAN DEDICATION NOTES
Ebenezer, we praise God for His marvelous provision of a beautiful pipe organ to enhance the musical offerings in our worship service! We are now the proud owners of an Allen MDS-36, which is a Two-Manual Digital Pipe Organ that was built in the late 1990s. It is one of the finest models produced by the Allen Organ Company.
The story of how we acquired the organ is a demonstration of God’s providence. IsaacMoshay,whoservedasourdirectoroftheCarolChoirfrom2015 to 2020, was the guest organist at a church in Houston for a 2019 Christmas Day service. While rehearsing with the choir for the service, he noticed an organ that had been covered up in the corner of the church and was clearly not being used. After the rehearsal, Bro. Moshay discussed the organ with the priest, who said his church no longer needed the instrument. The priest offered the organ at no cost with the condition that Ebenezer would have to arrange for the transportation of the organ and purchase new organ speakers. Ebenezer quickly accepted this exceedingly generous offer! Bro. Moshay then had the organ loaded on his truck and headed to Austin.
We want to thank Jerry Kautz of Lone Star Hammond Organ who provided the manpower to lift the organ onto Bro. Moshay’s truck in Houston. Additionally, special thanks go out to the Spring 2020 line of Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity who provided the manpower to lift the organ into its present location. WealsowanttothankDeaconAnthonyDennisfordoingallofthewiring necessary for the organ to communicate with the speakers. Larry McCain and his team from the Allen Organ Company in Dallas came and installed the speakers. They commented that the organ was in very good condition with only one or two minor adjustments needing to be made, and the wiring job was done so well it made their installment procedures much less intensive than they had expected. We especially want to thank Bro. Moshay for inquiring about the organ and negotiating with the St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church in Houston.
As we dedicate the organ for worship at Ebenezer, we pray that the music it produces will help create an atmosphere for worship.
