 WINNERS’ PASSION
MAKES GOALS POSSIBLE
Christine from Just Better Care Gold Coast and Leanne from Just Better Care Central Coast have been named the winners of the 2018 National Possible Awards.
The Possible Awards recognise the out- standing achievements of Just Better Care employees, who go above and beyond to help older Australians and people living with disability to achieve their goals.
“It was heart-warming to read so many stories about our people who go out of their way to assist, motivate and inspire others every day,” Chief Operating Officer Alison Chandler said.
“Selecting just two winners was no easy task. But I’m thrilled to say that we found two very worthy winners in Leanne and Christine.
“As group home Team Leader, Christine has been a mentor and inspiration to her colleagues and customers. Her dedication to her customers has led to unprecedented progress in their development and wellbeing. This was only possible thanks
to her commitment to help others reach their goals.
“Leanne is the Central Coast Finance Manager. She is an all-rounder, an incredibly valuable member of her team. With over 10 years’ experience working at Just Better Care, she brings an immense amount of industry knowledge to her team. She is every employer’s dream - hard-working, passionate and always available to help others,” she said.
“Our winners prove that anything is possible when you’re supported by the right people. Home care services can help older Australians and people living with disability live the life they choose.”
Alison is proud of everyone who was nominated for a local or national Possible Award.
More than 230 local Possible Award nominations were received from Just Better Care customers and staff members in 2018. Among those, 30 staff members went on to be nominated for the national award by owners.
Just Better Care Australia’s award committee and Franchise Advisory
Council assessed the nominees against set criteria, including consistency in displaying Just Better Care values and behaviours, and meeting and exceeding expectations and key performance indicators in their role.
“The Possible Awards prove that
we have the right people to give the care and support that people want and need. Anything is possible when you have support to reach your goals.”
