moving to bipolar-weather Virginia Beach was nothing short of a culture shock. But, the Lord must have known it
was exactly what I needed. His Word tells us the steps of a righteous man are ordained by God. This was absolutely
one of those times. During my years at Regent University, I took the time to really enjoy the Lord, to soak in His
love and learn more about Him. What I discovered leaves me speechless. The more I am in His presence, the more I
understand all that He has planned. I discovered my purpose and my calling. I learned strength and intentionality. I
saw my passion and heart for serving others grow. I discovered how to bring good, not harm, to invite others into
life, not death. I discovered what true beauty looks like. I discovered what true honor looks like. I learned how some
storms try to destroy us, but all can rename us for the better if we so choose.

At the graduation ceremony, the speaker implored us to say, “Yes,” to the Lord. He reminded us to trust His word,
to have faith in His guidance, and to start and end the day with scripture. From there, he inspired us to take all that
we'd learned and embed ourselves in the workforce while always remembering to make Christ our message, dream
big, value humility, walk in faith not fear, and give until we reach our end. His call to action was on point with the
mission at Regent University – to send world changers into society.

This has always been the call of my heart. Now, equipped with the love of Christ, humility, and a spirit of power and
discipline, I am overwhelmed with hope and joy. I see each day as an opportunity to fulfill His ultimate
commandment to us – to love one another. However, I believe we must first have a strong foundation in Him to do
so. Then, we are able to comfort others as we have been comforted (2 Corinthians 1:4). This is why our personal
testimonies are so powerful. They are the tools the Lord gives us to change the world, to share the gospel with His
children, and ultimately to be a living reflection of His power and His glory. Our testimonies are our experiences in
life, the relationships we have gone through, and the lessons we have learned. With a clear understanding of our own
testimony, in the next chapter we will explore how much more powerful our stories become when properly paired
               with someone else’s.
