wherever he can.”
Ladies, know this: Satan will do everything he can to destroy you. He'll go after your passion, your strength, and
your relationship with God – anyway he can. Fight back. You can do it. You have a far more powerful weapon than
he will ever have – Jesus. Use your connections, use your design for good. You have what it takes. Think about it:
What if the enemy's only words to you were: "You have been effectively used against me."
The enemy fears us. He knows we have power. He is afraid of us, of what we are capable, for we are capable of
something he will never be – love.
We love when we strengthen. We love when we encourage. We love when we support and uplift, when we empower
and protect. While it may be in our DNA to do this, we have to be intentional with living it out. We greatly impact
the hearts of the men in our lives. Make sure you’re impacting your man’s heart for good. Make sure you’re
impacting your own heart for good in the relationship.
Loneliness
Let’s talk physical, emotional and spiritual loneliness. Each of these kinds of loneliness is possible in and outside of
a relationship. The difference in each lie with what heart desire is not being fulfilled. Usually, physical loneliness,
creates a craving for the warmth of a body next to us. In emotional loneliness, we see a desperation to share our life
with someone else; our secrets, our daily discoveries, or even the cuts and bruises from our most recent battle.
Finally, spiritual loneliness; a craving for conversation and cleansing surrounding the Word of God. Here, we ache
for a romantic relationship where we can sit next to the man in our life and bounce ideas off him, ask questions and
uncover things together. It’s a craving to sharpen and be sharpened. As women, our craving to be cleansed by the
Word is a deep one, an honorable one.
All three kinds of loneliness are righteous. Our culture misunderstands the mystery and wonder behind this craving.
As honorable as it may be, we must remain alert. Making foolish decisions in one or all of these loneliness states,
can lead us down a path we have already committed to stay away from.
Emotional Independence
On multiple occasions, I have heard women share frustrations such as "He's not romantic" or "Something has
changed in him towards me. Ever since……He's no longer chasing me like he used to."
Ladies, our desire for romance is an honorable one; to be at the center of someone's world, because we are that for
God. Everything He does is centered around our well-being. He never stops chasing us. Ever. He pursues us — All.
Day. Long. Everyday. Even when we sleep.
But here's the difference. If a man hasn't yet accepted Jesus Christ as his savior, he cannot be expected to love us
like that. He cannot give what he doesn’t have. Or, even a man who does claim Jesus Christ as his Savior will need
to be intentional with his love toward us. The constant "chase" we so badly crave is already fulfilled...in Christ.
Where it should be. Most of the time, the man in our life is continuously chasing us, as much as he can in his current
Romantically Intelligent state. We also spoke about this earlier, we must learn how to spot it and receive it. If you
are still having a hard time with this, start here: Remember, he is witnessing your life, daily, he's in a relationship
with you. He sees you, he knows you. That's a "chase" in itself.
Gentlemen, I do want to speak to you directly on one thing in particular here: don't forget to share with the woman
in your life all that she means to you. You may be a man of little words, and that's fine, but remember if she's
making an effort to receive your love in the way that you're comfortable expressing it, you'll still need to put effort
into it as well — whatever that means for you. Whether that’s a romantic picnic on the beach, or preparing her
