don't miss out. Someone very close to me once said, "Prayer is not a gift everyone can give. I will cherish yours
forever."

An essential part of prayer will be to enter the conversation with specific goals in mind. These are important to write
down. Here are a few of mine when I enter into time with our Savior:

• To receive ears to hear and eyes to see.
• To learn more about You, Lord, Your heart, Your ways, Your thoughts.
• To forgive myself.

The Lord has met me in each of those requests. When we take the time to find joy in our time with Him, He’ll
always show off. For example, I'll never forget the night the Holy Spirit directed me on how to pray for someone
specific. I was at a worship night when I heard, “Thank Me for him.” In a time where I longed for clarity,
understanding and healing, He directed me in this prayer, one where I received all that my heart needed, while being
able to take this man to the alter.

Lord,
Thank You for him. Thank You for his valiant heart. Guide and protect him. Give him the strength to follow
his dream, to fulfill his calling. Thank You for comforting him when he needs it. Protect his mind from any
form of harm. Protect his body from physical harm. Protect his heart. Protect his soul from all assaults of
the enemy. I pray that he knows that he is powerful and that he does have what it takes, that he is a good
man. Strengthen him, Lord. Give him the strength to leave all that is familiar and go on into the unknown
with You. Lord, guide him in a warrior's heart, a sharp mind that will know when to fight and when to turn
back. Give him the discernment to sense a trap. Protect him from charging blindly ahead. Give him the
confidence in knowing the ultimate weapon he carries is You. Equip him with the strength to take righteous
risks. Thank You for Your word, which tells us we were given a spirit of power. Give him a spirit of
fearlessness to never give up, to always push forward. Let humility be something always running through
his veins, right next to You. Please guide me in how to pray for him. Guide me in how I can intercede for
him. How I can bring his needs before You. Thank You for granting him a band of brothers.
Thank You for speaking over guilt and shame in his life. Thank You for giving him quiet time with You.
Everywhere he goes, place him in the company of other quality men with character, drive, and ambition;
men who love and actively seek You. I ask that You reveal the enemy's work to him, give him ears to hear
and eyes to see. Remove fear from his heart. Speak to the courage and strength in him. Thank You for
running the race with him. Help him run toward his fears. Help him run against the crowd. Thank You for
breathing life into his lungs, life into his bones. Let the sound of Your voice be the one he hears, above all
others! Thank You for adding giggling and goofiness to Your relationship with him. And above all, thank
You for the time You entrusted me with him.

I have found prayer is not merely talking to the Lord but listening to Him. Don’t be surprised if He begins to speak
to your heart with words like:

Understand this: My heart toward you is vast, strong. Just as there is a spot in your heart only I can fill, there is a
spot in My heart that belongs only to you. Take Me with you everywhere you go. I long to be near you. Love Me. I
crave to be loved by you. I will not hide, I will not run. I will fight for you. I will finish what I have started in you: a
glowing presence, a life reflecting beauty as you carry Me with you. You will always be glorious to Me. You will
always be precious to Me. You will always be beside Me. Those who harm you, I will deal with. I will restore you. I
delight in you. I love you. Do not run away from what scares you, but instead, run toward it, for I will be there; I
will be running ahead of you, making a way for you, a way that is safe to travel, where My promises are already
fulfilled. I don't just see you; I delightfully stay near to you all day long. I have so much fun laughing with you. You
are a unique, rare beauty to Me. You reflect a specific ray of light everywhere you go. Let Me continue to reveal it to
others. Let Me brighten it. You are My sunshine. I am so blessed by you. In hard times, Look at me. Lock eyes with
Me. I love you. I am going to be right here. You will always be able to see me. Stay inside the home I have created
