our quality of life is growing and receiving national recognition. Greenwood County has everything one would need to live life to the fullest.
With our mild climate, outdoor activities, and year- round events, the community is thriving and vibrant. Greenwood County offers a variety of trails, parks,
and greenways for walking, running, and biking. Lake Greenwood offers endless water sports and activities. Thousands of visitors from near and far are impressed at the sheer quality and volume of things to do.
There’s nothing like having a pontoon boat to yourself for an afternoon of cruising, swimming, tubing, or paddling. Several marinas on Lake Greenwood rent all types of boards, boats, and gear. Rent a pontoon boat and kick back on the water. Stop in at the Jungle Float, get a treat from the ice cream boat, or catch some fish. When it’s time for a dinner break, there are plenty of restaurants along the water, from Break on the Lake
to Harris Landing, where you might enjoy some great burgers and live music.
Discover Greenwood is the community’s primary destination marketing organization. Formed by
a partnership between the City and County of Greenwood, Discover Greenwood’s primary mission is to recruit and service visitors.
