Adventist Health Castle Providers,
As the end of 2019 approaches, I want to thank each of our medical staff members for your support of Adventist Health Castle throughout this year. As the healthcare delivery system continues to change, we have seen increased emphasis on pay for performance and efforts to shift our systems to more risk- based care. Sometimes those approaches can be at odds with each other! We have seen volume shifts and we have had to respond accordingly. Thank you for navigating these new ways with us.
Throughout the year we have seen a resurgence in our commitment to mission – “Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope” – and you have worked alongside us in making the mission more authentic and palpable. We have been on the frontlines with our community at events such as Convoy of Hope and the I Love Kailua Town Party and our medical staff has been key in giving back to those we serve. Thanks to each of you for your deep and abiding commitment to the mission of Adventist Health Castle. We love partnering with you.
This year we have made real progress toward Trauma Level III designation for Castle. This is a first for Adventist Health and a positive development for Windward O’ahu. Stay tuned for updates over the coming months.
As we close out 2019 and look forward to 2020, I pray that we will find ways to continue to bring excellent care to our patients together.
