Be kind
What is the compassionate act you can do in the middle of your busy moments? Do that. And extend that kindness to your coworkers.
Pray
Pray for your patients – even if it is a silent prayer outside their door. Tell family members you are praying for their loved one. Imagine how much power that would hold? How would you feel if your family member's caregivers told you they were praying for your family?

It’s easy to be kind and compassionate when life is predictable, but it can become quite challenging in during these uncertain times. The key is to understand the humanity behind our current circumstances and remember that we are all in this together. We must ask ourselves: How would I be feeling if it were my loved one,
if it was me? Or What would I be feeling if had to wait in a car for an update while my dad was in the Emergency Room?
Care out loud
Narrate your care. Tell patients and family members what you are doing while you are doing it and tell them why. They need explanation now more than ever. Care out loud even for our patients that are not conscious.
