 Annual PTO Cash Out
As we come to the end of the year, we wanted to provide you with information regarding our annual Paid Time Off (PTO) Cash Out policy.
Per the policy, Adventist Health associates can cash out accrued PTO hours to be payable in the first pay period of a new year. To qualify for the payout, associates must have accrued at least 100 hours of paid time off.
PTO hours can be cashed out per the following;
• Associates who have one hundred or
more (100+) hours of accrued Paid Time Off, may cash out up to forty (40) hours of PTO annually.
• Associates who have two hundred or more (200+) hours of accrued Paid Time Off, may cash out up to eighty (80) hours of PTO annually.
The opportunity to cash out qualified PTO hours is only available once per year. All requests to cash out qualified PTO hours must be received between December 15 - December 28.
To request a PTO cash out, please see the 2020 PTO Cash Out QRG.pdf for instructions.
Please note the following;
• The PTO Cash Out amount will reflect on the January 3 paycheck.
• Applicable income taxes and allotted AHRP deductions will apply to the PTO Cash Out amount.
• Any remaining hours in your PTO Cash Out balance will be returned to your available PTO bank on January 1, 2020.
• If you chose not to cash out any PTO hours during this period, no action is required.
Should you have any questions, or require additional information, please log on to HP On-Demand or call the Contact Center at (844) 574-5686.
