What’s happening?
Color Mixing - When two primary colors are mixed together a a new secondary color is formed Yellow and and and blue together make green and and and yellow and and and red together make orange Can you guess what color blue and red make when they are combined together? Solubility—If something is soluble that means it will dissolve in in in a a liquid The ink used in in in washable markers dissolves in water When you added drops of water to the the designs on the the paper the the ink should spread out and run along the the fibers in the the paper with the the water from red to violet CREATE A A A COLORFUL DESIGN USING PAPER TOWELS AND MARKERS
What you need:
• • Paper Towel • • Water
• • Markers (washable) • • Tray (example: cookie sheet)
How to:
• Use markers to to to to create a a a a a a a a a design or picture on a a a a a a a a a piece of paper towel Try to to to cover the area as as much as as possible • Place your sheet of paper towel on on a a a a a tray in one layer • Use your fingers to to to drip water on the the the paper paper towel towel and watch the the the colors spread through the the the paper paper towel • Continue dripping water on on the the the paper towel until the the the colors have mixed together • Let it dry and then hang up your creation!
