Dear Josephine Casillas
Congratulations on your decision to go solar! We’re glad you have selected us as a guide! This custom proposal, designed with your property and energy needs in mind, will offer a few solutions to help you along your journey.
SYSTEM DETAILS
We started by analyzing the roof space you have available for a Solar PV System to determine the Number of Panels to use in our calculations. We combined that number with analysis of your current energy consumption, based on your utility bills, to determine what Power Class those panels should be. This is important because a Panel’s Certified Power Class indicates the amount of power the panel will produce.
The Number of Panels multiplied by the Panel Power Class determines your System Size

SOLAR SAVINGS http://www.missionsolar.com/resources/#warranties
This is the average amount of savings your system will generate per month starting in year one, this is based on your system’s estimated Monthly Production and current Utility Rate. We also compare your average utility bill before and after switching to solar, this comparison tells you how much you can save per month by generating your own energy, rather than purchasing it.
SUSTAINABLE SAVINGS
To determine your Sustainable Savings, we calculated your Solar Savings for an average month of your 25 Year Panel Performance Warranty, based on the expected panel output and a utility inflation rate of 4,7% (based on data from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory). We combine those monthly savings into annual savings, and add up those annual savings into your 30 Year Cumulative Savings.
ENERGY OFFSET
To find your energy offset, we determined what portion of your average monthly energy needs will be met by your system, and what portion, if any, will be purchased from the utility.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
To establish how much you are helping the planet, we calculate how much CO2 is avoided by using solar energy. We then break that number down in two ways.
Trees Planted tells you how many trees you would need to plant in an urban setting (and then let grow for 10 years) to sequester the same amount of CO2 that your system will negate in one year. Miles Driven tells you how many miles driven in a passenger vehicle each year will be negated by your system. For more information about how these calculations are made, check out the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator.
SAVINGS ON TOTAL ELECTRICITY COST ARE NOT GUARANTEED. FUTURE UTILITY RATES, CHARGES, AND NET METERING VALUE (WHERE AVAILABLE) SUBJECT TO CHANGE. MONTHLY SAVINGS, AVERAGE ELECTRICITY USE, AND UTILITY RATES ARE CALCULATED BASED ON UTILITY BILLS PROVIDED. THE MORE INFORMATION PROVIDED, THE MORE ACCURATE THE ESTIMATE. ANY INFORMATION NOT PROVIDED WILL BE ESTIMATED BASED ON AREA AVERAGES. ESTIMATES SUBJECT TO CHANGE AFTER SITE-SURVEY BY A SOLAR EXPERT AND FINAL SYSYTEM DESIGN, WHICH CAN BE AFFECTED BY SHADING, ROOF TYPE, FIRE CODE COMPLIANCE, LOCATION, SYSTEM SIZE, GOVERNMENT REBATES, AND LOCAL UTILITY RATES. CALCULATIONS ASSUME FULL PRODUCTION IN FIRST YEAR WITH A PANEL DEGRADATION RATE OF 0,03% OF YEAR FOLLOWING.
