5.1.1 Import/export dynamics
Georgian foreign trade expands in Jan-Jul on the back of export growth
Georgia's foreign trade increased by 13% y/y to $5.6bn in January-July, national statistics agency Geostat reported on August 21. The growth was due to a 28.9% y/y jump in exports to $1.44bn; meanwhile, imports increased by a more modest 8.5% y/y to $4.22bn.
