     Ukraine will receive $530M from the World Bank. The World Bank has announced an additional $530M in support for Ukraine. Of this money, $500M was provided by Great Britain and $30M by Denmark. As of September, the World Bank has mobilized almost $13B in emergency financing for Ukraine. Of this amount, $11B has already been allocated in full. The World Bank's Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Arup Banerjee, emphasized that the long-term costs of reconstruction and recovery in Ukraine are huge, and the needs for the next three years will reach more than $100B. "This figure is expected to grow as the war continues," Banerjee added.
The EU integrates aid to Ukraine into its 2023 budget. The finance ministers of the European Union agreed to integrate support payments to Ukraine into the EU budget for 2023 in order to make them more structured and predictable. This was stated by the Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis. "It is important to have a more predictable flow for Ukraine next year, so we intend to integrate it into EU budget discussions for 2023 and thus make it more stable. An agreement was reached between the ministers on such an approach."
US to provide over $450mn for Ukraine's civilian security. "The United States will provide an additional $457.5mn in civilian security assistance to save lives and bolster the capacity of our Ukrainian law enforcement and criminal justice partners," U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken wrote on Twitter on Sept. 26. "We share their commitment to a democratic, independent, and sovereign Ukraine."
US prepares $1.1bn arms package for Ukraine. The U.S. is preparing a new $1.1bn arms package for Ukraine which will be announced in the coming days, Reuters reports citing U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity. The latest installment of weapons will likely include HIMARS launcher systems and accompanying munitions, different counter-drone and radar systems, along with spares, training and technical support, a source briefed on the plan told Reuters.
UK to spend at least $2.6bn on Ukraine's war effort in 2023. The Financial Times reported that UK Prime Minister Liz Truss will make the commitment in her first speech to the UN General Assembly this week. "The UK will continue to be right behind you every step of the way," Truss said before her trip to New York. According to Truss, the aid provided to Ukraine next year will match or exceed the 2022 numbers.
EU Council adopts additional €5bn assistance for Ukraine. The Council will provide macro-financial assistance "as a matter of urgency." EU Council said on Sept. 20 that this 5bn euro assistance package would be delivered to Ukraine through long-term loans "to support Ukraine at this critical juncture."
Ukraine receives 500mn euros in budget support from EU. Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, said on Sept. 28 at a press conference in Kyiv that the money would help strengthen Ukraine's food security.
