Data on sales of smartphones in July is provided by Kommersant with reference to the MTS report. It follows that Realme came in second place in sales of smartphones in peace terms with a share of 17% (a month earlier it was 13.4%). This is more than the combined sales of Apple and Samsung, whose share in Russia is rapidly falling. The share of the Korean brand decreased from 10.9% in June to 8.5% in July, the American brand — from 9.7% to 7%.
MegaFon confirmed to the publication that in July the number of Realme smartphones sold exceeded the total sales of Samsung and Apple.
Apple in July also overtook the Chinese brand Tecno, which took fourth place with 7.5% of the market, according to MTS data. The market leader remains Xiaomi, whose share, together with the Poco sub-brand, reached 42%.
In monetary terms, the situation looks somewhat different: Xiaomi and Poco are also in first place with a 35% share, Apple is in second with 25% of the market, and Realme is in third with 12.5%. Next come Samsung (11%) and Tecno (4%).
The drop in sales of Apple and Samsung in July, market participants explain the depletion of stocks from retailers. Direct imports of smartphones from these brands have completely stopped, and parallel imports do not work to the extent necessary to replace them. According to diHouse, shipments of smartphones from Apple and Samsung to Russia are now 80-90% less than before March of this year.
On the other hand, sales of Chinese brands are growing due to the launch of new models, experts say. They note that Chinese companies are becoming stronger - they are investing a lot in development and creating better and better smartphones.

Re: Store, Wildberries, Svyaznoy and other sellers have already announced the start of parallel imports of equipment from Apple and Samsung, but this does not save the situation. At the end of July, RBC wrote that in some regions there was a shortage of Samsung smartphones. And according to Vedomosti, two-thirds of the devices purchased by Russians in April-June are smartphones from Chinese brands (while sales of new smartphones have fallen to a record low).
