Ukrainians continue to increase bank deposits - in February, they increased by ₴13B. According to the Deposit Guarantee Fund, as of March 1, 2024, the total amount of deposits by individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks amounted to ₴1.208T, which is ₴13.1B more than the January figure. Of the total deposited amount, deposits in national currency amount to ₴780.8B, and deposits in foreign currency ₴427.3B.
As of February 1, 2024, there were 67.6 million deposits worth UAH 1 trillion 195 billion in 63 participating banks of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund. Of these, 9.9 million deposits were in foreign currency in the amount of 427.3 hryvnia.
According to the NBU, the amounts of deposits of individuals and private entrepreneurs are distributed as follows:
● up to 10 hryvnia - 27.8 million in the amount of 28.3 million hryvnia,
● from 10 hryvnia to 200 thousand hryvnia - 38.7 million in the amount of
372.7 billion hryvnia,
● from 200 thousand hryvnia to 400 thousand hryvnia - 616.8 thousand
in the amount of 169.7 billion hryvnia,
● from 400 thousand hryvnia to 600 thousand hryvnia - 205.4 thousand
in the amount of 99.4 billion hryvnia,
● over 600 thousand hryvnia - 299.2 thousand in the amount of 553.2
billion hryvnia.
