Ukraine's gas supply not impacted by Russian strike. The facility, operated by Naftogaz’s subsidiary Ukrtransgaz, will require repairs to its surface infrastructure, but the attack did not impede its operations due to the gas being stored deep underground, Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov noted.

They were able to assess the residual potential of the old field, identify an area for laying a well, and proved the high prospects of drilling in this area.

This allows for the storage of gas for 1095 days without paying taxes and customs duties, with the possibility of trading on the domestic and foreign markets. "More than 160 foreign energy companies from 32 countries around the world use our UGS for gas storage in 'customs warehouse' mode. We are actively preparing for the injection season so that both Ukrainian and foreign companies can smoothly inject significant volumes of gas into our storages," said Roman Malyutin, the head of Ukrtransgaz. Ukrtransgaz has already begun preparations for the start of the active gas injection season, which starts in April this year.
