4.5.1 Labour market, unemployment dynamics
Russia's unemployment rate fell back to a historic low of 2.9% in February 2024, compared to 3% in the prior month.
   4.5.2 Income dynamics
    Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has announced a serious growth of wages and real earnings of Russian households. "Nominal growth of wages exceeded 14% in 2023, while real growth of wages surpassed 7.8%," he said at a meeting with deputies. "Adjustment, payments and all respective sets of social policies have played a role," Mishustin noted, adding that "in this sense real earnings are on the rise, this is an absolute fact.".
There are six more dollar billionaires in Russia, According to the Chinese Hurun Report ranking The Chinese Hurun Research Institute has released another Global Rich List rating. It follows that Indian Mumbai has surpassed the Chinese capital Beijing in terms of the number of billionaires living there, taking third place in the world rankings after New York and London. In Russia, according to Chinese researchers, six dollar billionaires were added over the past year, which allowed it to remain in the top 10 - in seventh place with 76 billionaires.
