      According to the State Customs Committee, the trade between Azerbaijan and Russia in 2022 reached $3.71bn, an increase of 23.9% y/y. Trade with Russia accounted for 7.04% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade. Exports of Azerbaijani products to Russia totaled $975.46mn, a 5.9% increase. Imports of Russian products to Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to $2.73bn, a 31.8% increase. The trade balance between the two countries was negative, amounting to -$759.3mn. The Russian Federation occupies the 7th place among the countries where Azerbaijani products are exported, however, it retained its position as the No. 1 importer to AzerbaiJanuary
The value of Kyrgyzstan’s exports of goods to Russia in 11M22 rose by more than 2.5 times to $917mn from $358.1mn in 11M21, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz exports were mainly textile products, cotton, copper and agricultural products and related items. Also in the reporting period, Russian exports to Kyrgyzstan expanded by 25% y/y to $2bn. Kyrgyzstan and Russia are both members of the Moscow-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The trade bloc in the past year has seen a marked increase in trading between its member states with Russia looking to reorientate its import and export markets east and south in response to broken trade and economic relations with the west amid the crisis caused by Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
