The gross foreign debt of Ukraine as of the beginning of July 2018 was $113.751bn,  which is 1.47% or $1.7bn less than at the beginning of the year, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
According to the central bank, the debt of the state administration for the first half of the year decreased by 1.98%, to $38.118bn, that of the NBU by 6.1%, to $6.984bn, deposit corporations by 5.27%, to $5.9bn, other sectors by 0.57%, to $53.042bn. The volume of liabilities on direct investment increased by 1.62%, to $9.707bn.
The NBU's liabilities and almost the entire government debt are represented by long-term borrowings.
The lion's share of gross external debt is denominated in US dollars - 72%. Another 12.9% are liabilities in euros, 11.2% in SDR (special drawing rights).
The National Bank also said that net gross external assets by the end of June 2018 rose to $7.968bn from $5.032bn at the end of April and $4.111bn at the end of 2017.
