As well it supports tribunals and international criminal investigations to hold Russian political leaders and military personnel accountable for the war of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
Germany refuses to give Patriot air defence to Ukraine, says they are part of NATO defence. German top foreign affairs official Tobias Lindner said on Dec. 10 that Germany didn't have free access to U.S.-made Patriot systems and couldn't transfer them to Ukraine. "The Patriot systems we send are part of NATO's collective defence system," Lindner said.
The US has promised to send Ukraine its Patriot missile system during Zelensikiy’s visit to Washington in December, but later said the system is not expected to arrive in Ukraine for six months. Training needed to use the system requires 90 people and usually takes about three months, according to military experts.
Bulgaria will send its first military aid to Ukraine, mainly light weaponry and ammo. The Bulgarian parliament voted on Dec. 9 to approve a list of arms proposed by the country’s interim government.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, in a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the country is set to hand more anti-air guns and further short-range air defence missiles to Ukraine in the coming weeks, according to a U.K. government statement on Dec. 9.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine announces the list of the most critical weapons. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, “Ukraine needs an anti-missile, anti-aircraft defence Patriot system, such as the IRIS-T system that our country received from Germany and the Crotale system that we received from France. We are also asking and waiting for help from the French Mamba system, which will also help us to fight against Iranian drones and Russian missiles.” Shmyhal noted that the second priority is howitzers, ranging from the French CAESAR systems to any NATO-standard 155 calibre howitzers. Ukraine is also asking for NATO-standard tanks. "These are German Leopard 2, American Abrams, and other NATO-standard tanks. If France can help us with tanks, we will also be grateful," the prime minister added.
Zelensky believes war in Ukraine ends if Putin dies. In an interview with David Letterman, President Volodymyr Zelensky said he believes Russia's war in Ukraine ends if President Vladimir Putin dies. Zelensky also reiterated that he believes Putin won't dare to use nuclear weapons as he "loves life and is afraid of death." "I saw him (Putin), and I saw his desire to live. He loves life very much – he even sits behind a long table... because he is afraid of COVID-19 or something else," Zelensky said.
