The Turkish Wealth Fund (TVF) has bought the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD’s) 10% stake in Borsa Istanbul, raising its stake in the stock exchange to 90.6%. The EBRD has sold its stake after a former Halkbank executive who was imprisoned in the US was named as the bourse’s CEO.
Turkish construction group Tekfen has taken a 10% stake in the petrochemical division of Azerbaijan’s state oil company Socar , the latter reported on December 14. Socar did not disclose the transaction price. Tekfen serves as one of Socar’s main contractors.
