      Japan’s imports from Russia plunged by 69.6% on the year to 53.79bn Japanese yen, or around $367.31mn, in July, but exports rose by 25% to 50.94bn yen, or $347.85mn, as seen by PRIME on August 17 in the materials of the Finance Ministry. Car, bus and truck exports to Russia soared 84%, including a 84.9% rise of car exports, and 60.2% of buses and trucks. Medical device exports to Russia skyrocketed by 1,123%, imports of grain by 5,680%. Japan's imports of liquefied natural gas declined by 53.6% and of coal by 72.9% in the period. Non-ferrous metals imports dove by 69.5%, non-ferrous metal ore by 93%, iron and steel products by 52.2%.
Kazakhstan’s exports to Russia up to $4.93bn in 1H 2023. In the reporting period, the trade turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union amounted to $13.84bn

Russia’s agriculture exports may exceed $60bn in the midterm with logistics issues solved, VEB.RF Chief Economist Andrey Klepach told a forum. "Russia’s export potential is huge. However, without solving logistics issues it is impossible to boost them [exports] further on <...>. We believe that [with those issues solved] exports may rise to $60bn and higher. First of all, to the same Asia, Iran, Pakistan and Africa, and not only in the form of humanitarian supplies," he said. In 2022, Russia’s agriculture exports surpassed $41.5bn, up by 12% compared with 2021.
