OPEC has also upgraded its outlook on Russia’s production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2023 again by 80,000 barrels per day as it now expects the country’s output to contract by 0.4mn barrels per day to 10.6mn barrels per day. The outlook on 2024 production has been upgraded by 100,000 barrels per day to 10.6mn barrels per day (at the level of 2023). Meanwhile the outlook takes all OPEC+ cuts announced by Russia by the end of 2023 into consideration, OPEC noted, adding that a number of oil fields will be launched in the country, though production at brownfields is expected to fall.
