Turkey denied that Turkish forces in Iraq were to blame for a July 21 shelling attack that killed nine tourists and injured more than 20. Turkey’s consulate-general in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul was the target of a rocket attack on July 27, but there were no reported casualties.
