Group of companies Zolotoi Aktiv of Oleg Karchev has acquired company siGMA producing gold on the Ozyornovskoye deposit in the Kamchatka Region, a representative for Zolotoi Aktiv told PRIME on October 12. Ozyornovskoye's reserves for open pit mining were approved by a state commission in 2020 at 11.3mn tonnes of ore, 42 tonnes of gold and 49.5 tonnes of silver. The resource potential stands at about 170 tonnes of gold.
Seligdar plans to increase the capacity of the gold recovery plant (GRP) at the Ryabinovy production complex in Yakutia by 6% in 2024. The current capacity of the plant is 1.6 million tons of ore per year; due to the launch of the third contact vat, productivity will be increased to 1.7 million tons of ore per year. As of 2022, the Ryabinovo plant accounted for about a third of the company’s total gold output.

At the same time, Russia was among the leaders of growth in percentage terms. Over the past month, output grew by 8.9% to 6.4mn tonnes. The largest production decreases in the year occurred in Türkiye (-12.1% to 21.6mn tonnes), in the EU (-9.8% to 85.7mn tonnes), and in Brazil (-8.3% to 21.2mn tonnes). The steel production of Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) increased by 11.4% on the year to 9.869mn tonnes in January–September, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. Cast iron output gained 13.2% to 7.526mn tonnes. MMK’s sales of metal products rose by 10.9% to 8.893mn tonnes in the period.
