Russia and Saudi Arabia plan to boost trade turnover between the two countries to $7bn by 2030, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, adding that trade turnover grew by 20% in the first seven months of this year.
Kazakhstan has temporarily suspended exports of 106 specific types of goods to Russia, according to local media reports that cite Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev. The restrictions primarily affect items such as drones, drone components, microchips and special electronics, which Kazakhstan primarily imports rather than manufactures. The move is in line with Kazakhstan's publicly stated commitment to adhere to the sanctions imposed by Western nations on Russia. Kazakhstan has previously been called out for having a role in allowing Russia to circumvent sanctions via exports and re-exports.
Trade between Russia and India grows to record levels. Trade between Russia and India in the first eight months of 2023 more than doubled from the previous year, reaching a record high of almost $44 billion, Russian state-run media RIA Novosti claimed on Oct. 23.

Russian pork export may grow by 29.4% as of 2023 year-end and stand at about 220,000 metric tonnes, director general of the National Union of Swine Breeders Yury Kovalyov told reporters. "We exported about 170,000 metric tonnes last year. We expect about 220,000 metric tonnes in this year; all these figures not including China," Kovalyov said. The situation with the African Swine Fever (ASF) does not affect exports now and is "under absolute control," the director general said.
