Germany is ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, but not those of NATO. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on July 6 that the federal government could not specify the security guarantees it is ready to provide to Ukraine yet, and they must be discussed with their allies in the North Atlantic Alliance, reported Sueddeutsche. Scholz said that Germany is sticking to its earlier promise to join Ukraine's security guarantees, but there is no promise of automatic military assistance in the event of an attack. Since the beginning of the war, 4.6 million people have arrived in Poland from Ukraine, while in the opposite direction, 2.7 million have left.
