Kernel reduced port transshipment of agricultural products by 11%.
According to the results of the 2022 fiscal year, the Kernel company reduced the transshipment of cargo for export through its port terminals compared to the 2021 fiscal year by 11% to 7.27 million tons, Ports of Ukraine reports. As of July 22, approximately 5% of the company's product is stored in regions temporarily controlled by Russia. Despite the hostilities, the new Kernel granaries were almost undamaged, except for two silos with a combined single storage capacity of 74,000 tons, which were severely damaged in the spring of 2022.     Ukrainian tech company Preply raises $50M. The Ukrainian EdTech company Preply has raised a $50M Series C round, increasing its total investment amount since inception to $100M. The investment round was led by Owl Ventures The platform plans to capture the online language learning market, which will reach $47B by 2025. Currently, Preply connects hundreds of thousands of students with more than 32,000 tutors who teach more than 50 languages. Over the past year, Preply has tripled the size of its B2B business, and its clients include Bytedance (TikTok), Mercedes, and McKinsey. The number of people using the Preply app has quadrupled in the past two years, and many regions have seen double the overall user numbers compared to last year.
Russian proxies claim to have blocked Google in occupied parts of eastern Ukraine. The Kremlin-backed proxies in the occupied parts of Ukraine's eastern Donetsk Oblast claimed that the work of Google there was blocked due to its “harassment of Russians, imposition of lies and disinformation,” Russian state-controlled news outlets reported.
