    In the first half of 2024, sales of elite real estate in Moscow grew by exactly a third, to 185 billion rubles, Kommersant writes, citing research by market participants. Expensive new buildings grew at an accelerated pace — 116 billion rubles, plus 78%.
In physical terms, 840 transactions were registered in the sector, which is almost twice as many as in the first half of 2023. In total, 1,360 transactions were concluded in the premium segments last year.
The "elite" trend has sharply diverged from the mass market, undermined by rising rates and the curtailment of mass preferential mortgages. Demand in the Moscow primary housing market of the mass segment (within the Moscow Ring Road) fell by 36%.
