    Vladimir Putin is trusted by 80.1% of Russians surveyed, and 76.8% approve of his work as president of the Russian Federation. This is evidenced by the data of a weekly survey by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).
80.1% of respondents from July 15 to 21 answered positively to a direct question about trust in Vladimir Putin – over the week, this figure has decreased by 1.4 percentage points (pp). The approval rate for the president’s performance was 76.8% – 1.6 pp less than the week before.
The levels of positive assessment of the work of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Russian government over the past week also decreased by 0.5 percentage points and 1.5 percentage points and amounted to 52.6% and 50.8%, respectively.
Mishustin is trusted by 62.1% of respondents (the indicator has grown by 0.3 percentage points over the week), the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov is trusted by 34.1% (-0.2 percentage points), the leader of the Just Russia party Sergei Mironov is trusted by 26.5% of respondents (-2.2 percentage points), the head of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky is trusted by 21.0% (+0.9 percentage points), and the leader of the New People faction Alexei Nechayev is trusted by 7.6% (-0.8 percentage points over the week).
The level of support for the United Russia party was 37.5% (the figure fell by 1.1 percentage points over the week), the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 10.1% (+0.4 percentage points), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia – 9.5% (+0.9 percentage points), New People – 5.7% (-0.2 percentage points), and A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth – 3.5% (-0.2 percentage points).
The activities of the head of state were also assessed by Russians surveyed by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM). As in the previous week, 81% of respondents rated the president's work positively. 80% of respondents trust Putin (79% in the previous week). 56% of survey participants believe that the Russian government is working "rather well" (55% in the previous week). 60% of respondents rated Mishustin's work positively (versus 57% last week).
In May, the head of state's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Putin had a high rating due to the trust of Russian citizens. He specified that the results of the FOM poll from early May showed a generally stable situation. From March 15 to 17, presidential elections were held in Russia, in which the incumbent president won with 87.28%. The final turnout was 77.49%, which is a record in Russia's modern history.
