Only 19% of Russians are ready to work or earn extra money as taxi drivers, while 81% do not consider this option for themselves, according to data from a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM), which Vedomosti has reviewed. The study, commissioned by the Digital World Digital Platform Users Union, in which VTsIOM surveyed 1,659 Russians aged 18 and over, is devoted to the public perception of taxi services.
Currently, only 3% of the population works in taxis, according to data from VTsIOM. According to the recruiting service hh.ru, the average offered salary for taxi drivers in Russia in 2023 increased by 23% and exceeded 107,000 rubles. The highest salary in 2023 was offered in taxis in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug - 150,000 rubles. The top "most expensive" vacancies for drivers in March 2024 included such offers as a personal business class driver in Moscow with a salary of up to 270,000 rubles, a driver in a company car in Moscow with a salary of up to 250,000 rubles, TASS wrote.
Among economy class taxi drivers, 45% earn 60,000 rubles per month, 18% - from 60,000 to 70,000 rubles. The monthly income of 20% of respondents is in the range from 50,000 to 60,000 rubles, 13% manage to earn over 70,000 rubles, 4% - less than 50,000 rubles, Vedomosti wrote in March 2023.

In 2008, the maternity capital program was launched (it was paid to mothers who gave birth to a second child), in 2018, the government made it available to those giving birth to their first child, and also introduced payments for low-income families with children. In 2019, the terms of preferential mortgages for families with children were
